The Shiphouse
INTEGRATED. STRIKING. DE JA VUE. BELONGING. FACETED.
Owner, designer and part time builder of this highly customised personal home, on Dharawal land in Bundeena.
This house is a study in sustainability principals and research exploration of how resourcefulness and material innovation can shape the experience of home.
With no slab, no air-conditioning, battery run and salvaged materials, the ShipHouse is designed and built with the philosophy of treading lightly. The project embraced adaptive reuse and waste reclamation, transforming industrial structures and discarded materials into a warm and curious family home.
