JEAN was created on the principals of sustainability, community, education and exploration.

A concept store stocked with preloved, locally made, sustainably minded utilitarian product alongside ideals both intellectual and practical. 

It represented likeminded local causes and meaningful connection whilst providing the community with useful everyday items to improve and enhance,

The space offered a Venue for hire including book and business launches, art exhibitions, discussion salons and educational talks. 

A curated programme of "Skill Exchange” workshops including weaving, leatherwork, carving, kintsugi and many more ran throughout the year, also offering school holiday programming for juniors. 

Local fundraising initiatives were constant features on the calendar.
